DayReach
Funded in partnership with United Way, donations and small community grants, and collaborating with our other services, this program started in late 2025 initially seeking to address service gaps in the transition of closed programming for vulnerable Red Deer community members and affected businesses & partners. Since then, Dayreach has become a staple service for vulnerable persons, depended on for access to essential items and services. Dayreach provides mobile outreach to individuals and establishments as needed to offer basic needs & risk reduction supplies, social diversion, referrals, and system navigation including recovery pathways as well as supports to businesses experiencing the effects of displaced homeless or street involved community. This program includes a Referral Specialist who can offer more robust wrap around supports through referrals by outreach staff and ongoing partnerships with agencies for routine "pop up" services includng a weekly basic needs event every Thursday afternoon at the Salvation Army downtown.
